The daughter of Billy Graham has said God let 9/11 happen to show the United States they need him.
Anne Graham Lotz, the head of the Samaritan’s Purse charity which operates the annual shoebox appeal, says God has abandoned Americans because of their attitude towards transgender rights, evolution and the separation of church and state.
“I think that’s why God allows bad things to happen."
"I think that’s why he would allow 9/11 to happen, or the dreadful attack in San Bernardino."
"To show us that we need him.”
When we abandon God, she said, “the Bible says God abandons us and He backs away and takes His hand of favor, blessing, His hand of protection away from us and He abandons us.”
She said if Americans repent, God "would begin to reveal the plots of terrorists before they are carried out, even the weather patterns he can control and protect us from violent storms".
