This actually happened to us. It was in a grocery store, we said we were excited about the upcoming holidays. A customer behind us overheard the conversation and proclaimed that If we were talking about Halloween, it is a blasphemous and satanic holiday. We simply said, “thank you for telling us, it’s still our favorite holiday.” She pulled back her shopping cart and went to another cashier.
